[Update May 20, 2025: Their happy hour menu has expanded to 31 items, as shown in the photo. Appreciate. Glad to see this cafe not just going through the pandemics, but also flourishing in Aurora / Newmarket area steadily]. I ordered All-day Regular Meal B today, which consists of Russian style beet soup and omelette with ham. The chef is very gracious in providing ham. The omelette is thin but juicy. This demonstrates a nice skill in cooking. My wife ordered a Hainan style chicken with rice. Appreciate the crispy chicken skin. The rice is also of good quality. Very tasty. The Hong Kong style milk tea is smooth and silky, betraying a good and balanced formula and timing. Super welcome this new entree in Newmarket!

The food is great, and service is quick and attentive. Server refilled tea for us and we don’t feel rushed. The chicken is cooked perfectly and flavourful without being too salty. The soup is better than most cafe. One thing that buffers me a lot is the fly and even bee in the restaurant dinning area. Washroom is clean. Plenty of parking but still can get a bit busy and need to park further.

It is a typical Hongkonger style tea room with lot of authentic Cantonese breakfast, lunch n dinner selections. It is good enough selections although it is sort of limited choice. Come n check it out if u love Hongkonger style. Cheers.

Visited this place 3 times already. We ordered 2 lunch combos; sweet & sour pork & beef noodle stir fry. Both combo came w lemon tea & ices coffee. Theb soup came in a cup rather bowl, very interesting but it definitely easier to drink! The food and drinks were delicious and the kids love them as well. We sat at the entrance once and it was great. Another time we were sat inside, it wasnt as good. The inside has so many flies everywhere and we have to keep waving them away from our dishes, 2 stars were deducted as it is quite unsanitary to have so many flies

Very happy to see another HK-style cafe in Newmarket-Aurora! We really enjoyed our visit — very generous portions at reasonable prices, and every meal came with a drink AND a soup. The egg sandwich was stuffed with an enormous portion of egg — it could've been a meal in and of itself. The kids even got a free mini Chupa Chup lollipop to end the meal. Will be visiting again! *EDIT: Visited again 2 months later. Still the best place to get the most bang for your buck!

Super generous portion. Hand as a reference. The shredded chicken is a must order. It is tender and flavorful. The portion with the price is an absolute bargain. The fried rice is a bit bland but the still tasty. Overall the quality of the foods are pretty good

In a Hong Kong-style restaurant, the quality is above average, there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and the seating is spacious and very comfortable.

Go there quite often, love their baked pork chop W/ tomato sauce (招牌茄汁豬扒焗飯) and Hai Nan Chicken w/ chicken oil rice (海南雞飯), their Hong Kong style tea is very good too. Their portion is pretty big, if u are not a big eater, you can share with friend or prepare to take home.

Pine House Cafe Newmarket (松屋) stands as a refreshing beacon for lovers of authentic Hong Kong–style cuisine in the Newmarket-Aurora corridor. Nestled at 1100 Davis Dr, this quaint cafe delivers a blend of classic Cantonese flavors and comforting tea room vibes that transport you straight to a bustling Hongkonger neighborhood.

Their menu, though intentionally focused, offers thoughtfully crafted dishes that highlight the chef’s skill and respect for tradition. A standout is the All-day Regular Meal B, pairing a rich Russian style beet soup with a thin yet juicy ham omelette. This simple dish reveals a kitchen that balances texture and flavor with precision and care. The Hainan style chicken with rice served here is no less impressive, featuring crispy chicken skin and fragrant, well-cooked rice — elements that speak to the quality and authenticity of their fare.

No Hong Kong cafe experience is complete without a well-made milk tea, and Pine House Cafe’s rendition does not disappoint. Its smooth, silky texture and balanced timing in brewing elevate it beyond mere refreshment to a comforting ritual. Paired with generous portions, like the colossal egg sandwich that can satisfy even the heartiest hunger, this cafe thrives not only on taste but also on generous hospitality.

While the ambiance captures the spirit of a Hong Kong tea room, some guests note challenges with flying insects in the dining space, a factor that slightly detracts from an otherwise stellar visit. However, ample parking and clean washrooms ease the experience for many patrons.
